Sabu Thomas

Professor, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University, India.

Dr. Sabu Thomas graduated from University of Kerala in 1980 and received PhD- degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagour in 1987. He worked as Senior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology in 1984 - 1987. He worked as Lecturer at Mahatma Gandhi University in 1987 - 1992. He worked as Regional Director at chool of Technology and Applied Sciences in 1994 – 1997. From 1997 to presnt, he has been a full Professor at School of Chemcial Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University. From 2009 to present, he has been a Director at International and Inter University Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mahatma Gandhi University.

His Major Scientific Fields of Interest: Polymer blends, Fiber filled polymer composites, Particulate filled polymer composites, Ageing and degradation, Pervaporation phenomena, sorption and diffusion, Interpenetrating polymer systems, Recyclability and reuse of waste plastics and rubbers, Elastomer crosslinking, Dual porous nanocomposite scaffolds for tissue, engineering Polymer nanocomposites for Electronic, Applications Water purification.

From 1990 to 2016, Dr. Sabu Thomas was invited to more than 50 foreign academic forums and university lectures. From 1986 to 2017, he has published more than 30 scientific papers in internationally reviewed journals.
